Srinagar, October 04 (KNO): Incarcerated chairman of JKLF Muhammad Yasin Malik has strongly condemned the ‘brutal assault’ on Kashmiri student at Noida near Delhi in which the said student has sustained grave injuries.“Kashmiri student Ahtisham was assaulted by goons near Sharda University where he is perusing education.

He was beaten ruthlessly while police was watching silently and in a way abetting the goons,” Malik said in a statement issued to (KNO). He said that “even the role of university authorities has been shameful and disgusting.”Malik said that “this was not first time when a Kashmiri faced brutal Indian face but part of a larger war that Indian state and media has started against Kashmiris. Kashmiris are being pushed to the wall by Indian state and fanatic goons that are working at the orders of their political masters and attacking Kashmiris.”“This situation is very serious and Kashmiris will no longer sit silent on these attacks on their kith and kin. If Indian authorities failed to stop these heinous attacks Kashmiris will be left with no option but to launch a fully fledged agitation against it,” Malik said.

Meanwhile, Malik paid tributes to slain Manzoor Ahmad Butt on his day “Slain Manzoor Ahmad Butt was the younger brother of Father of Kashmiri nation Muhammad Maqbool Butt and embraced martyrdom on 4th October 1995,” he said. Recalling his struggle and sacrifices, Malik said that the slain Manzoor kept treading the path of struggle and sacrifices as shown by his elder brother Muhammad Maqbool Butt and rendered the ultimate sacrifice in the way of truth and freedom. He said that “blood of great martyrs cannot go waste and struggle nourished by this sacred blood will be taken to its desired goal at every cost.” A condolence meeting was also held at JKLF office in which special prayers were held for the slain persons.(KNO)
