NC top brass planned killing of its two workers to seek deferment of polls : BJP | KNO

Srinagar, October 08 (KNO) : In a significant development, Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) state spokesman Altaf Thakur today accused the National Conference for planning the killing of its two workers only to press for deferment of polls. “The way Haji Yousuf was beaten to death at the former chief minister Omar Abdullah’s house, in the same way, NC planned the murder of two of its workers at Karfali Mohalla, Habba Kadal, to press for the deferment of the elections,” Thakur told (KNO). He said that NC was actually feeling unnerved due to the growing popularity of the BJP in Kashmir. Two NC workers Nazir Ahmed Bhat and Shakeel Ahmed Wani were killed while as another one Showkat Ahmed Zangoo got injured on Friday past at Karfali mohalla area of old Srinagar. The incident had triggered chaos across Srinagar forcing many contestants to withdraw their nominations.(KNO)
