Srinagar, October 15 (KNO) : Former chief minister and PDP president, Mehbooba Mufti on Monday said that the authorities at Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) must revoke the suspension of Kashmiri students, saying that Government of India must intervene in withdrawing the cases against students. Mehbooba in her tweet while referring to Phd scholar-turned-militant, Dr Abdul Manan Wani said that he was a victim of relentless violence in Kashmir, saying that it will be a travesty to punish the students for remembering their former colleague.
"Pushing youth to the wall will be counter productive.Centre must intervene in withdrawing cases against students & AMU authorities must revoke their suspension .The respective State governments outside JK should be sensitive to the situation & prevent further alienation,” Mehbooba tweeted. “It will be a travesty to punish them for remembering their former colleague who was a victim of relentless violence in Kashmir,” PDP president tweeted.(KNO)
