Srinagar, October 15 (KNO) : Anantnag Police on Monday termed the reports about private school teacher’s joining the militant ranks as ‘mischief done with a mala-fide intent to cause fear and alarm in public'. “Photograph of a private school teacher from Chee Anantnag was circulated on social media platforms describing him as a new terrorist recruit turned out to be a mischief done with a mala-fide intent to cause fear and alarm in public," police said in a statement issued to (KNO). "Anantnag police on verification found that the said person is a respectable citizen and is running a private tuition centre at K.P. Road in district Anantnag. The family of the said person was in stress after this fake news appeared on social media,” police spokesman said. He said that the family has been assured of assistance by local police. “Strict action will be taken against those indulging in rumour mongering,” he said.(KNO)
