Srinagar 21st October 2018 (KNO) : Kashmir has been turned into a slaughter house where no young, old, child or women is safe. Indian tyranny and oppression has crossed every limit now and Kashmiris cannot tolerate this silently anymore. Kashmiris will observe a total strike against Kulgam carnage and other oppressive measures on Monday 22nd October 2018 while as on Tuesday 23rd October 2018 people along with JRL leadership will march to Lal chowk and hold a protest sit-in against Indian aggression.

Also to highlight Indian aggression against unarmed civilians in Kashmir, JRL is preparing a memorandum to United Nations secretary general. This was stated by the joint resistance leadership comprising of Syed Ali Shah Geelani, Mirwaiz Muhammad Umar Farooq and Muhammad Yasin Malik while condemning the carnage by Indian occupational army at Kulgam today in which until now 10 Kashmiris have been ruthlessly slaughtered while as hundreds stand in injured by pellets, bullets and bombs.

In a statement issues to (KNO) JRL terming Kulgam carnage as a part of ongoing Indian state terrorism in Jammu Kashmir, JRL said that ruthless killing spree and other acts of suppression by Indian colonial army, SOG, Police and forces have crossed every limit now and Kashmiris cannot tolerate this silently anymore. JRL said that although tyrannical measures by Indian occupation have been continuing from last many decades and have failed to break the resolve of the people of Jammu Kashmir, but after the implementation of new so-called political Governor who is actually acting as a ‘colonial sheriff’, this bloodshed, oppression and tyranny has risen to new heights. JRL said that recent carnage, arson and destruction at Kulgam, Shupian, Pulwama and at many places in north and central parts of Kashmir during which innocents have been killed at will, people including women, children, old and young have been beaten, tortured and humiliated by sadist Indian forces is a glaring example of this state sponsored terrorism. Inhuman killing of pregnant women with fetus in womb, destruction of residential houses by planting explosives or by burning down, devastation of vehicles, house hold goods and killings in custody have risen after the threatening statements of so-called political governor. JRL said that recently in the heart of Srinagar, a young man Raies Ahmad Sofi was taken into custody by Terrorist SOG, tortured whole night in front of his family and then killed in cold blood under custody. Moreover at Trichal Pulwama we saw Indian forces unleashing a reign of terror, beating and vandalizing whosoever came their way. JRL said that we are witnessing an ugly rise in acts of blasting and burning down residential houses too. Today we saw a carnage at Kulgam where till last reports 10 Kashmiris have been slaughtered by Indian colonial forces among whom one is a nine year child, hundreds are injured among whom many stand critical and are fighting the battle of life and death.

JRL said that although this killing spree, destruction and arson is not new for the people of Jammu Kashmir who have been enduring this Indian aggression from last many decades but recent rise in this at the orders of so-called political governor Satya Prakash Malik has given this an ugly turn which is highly condemnable. JRL said that governors recent assertion that bullets not flowers will be showered has been proved true by his soldiers today at Kulgam but the corpses of innocent Kashmiris lying on ground have proved that Kashmir is an occupied land and only law of jungle is prevalent here. JRL said that from brutal killings of a fetus still unborn to a growing nine year old kid today and a new trend of putting explosive mines under the rubble of burnt down houses to kill more Kashmiris are all new offerings from a so-called political governor who is actually acting like a colonial sheriff. Brutalities, killings and destruction are painful in every respect but India and its authorities should know that by unleashing terror they have and will never succeed to break the will and resolve of Kashmiris.

JRL said that enough is enough, Indian tyranny and oppression has crossed every limit now and Kashmiris cannot tolerate this silently anymore and time has come to halt atrocious hands. Leaders said that the criminal silence of the international community which to safeguard its trade and economic benefits is maintaining silence on Kashmir killings is also nothing but wickedness. Appealing people of Kashmir to follow the protest program of JRL in letter and spirit, leaders said Kashmiris will observe a total strike against Kulgam carnage and other oppressive measures on Monday 22nd October 2018 while as on Tuesday 23rd October 2018, people along with JRL leadership will march to Lal chowk and hold a protest sit-in against Indian aggression. Also to highlight Indian aggression against unarmed civilians in Kashmir, JRL is preparing a memorandum to United Nations secretary general. This memorandum will also be made available through social media and all Kashmiris will sign it as a mark of hate against Indian inhumanity in Kashmir.(KNO)
