Srinagar, October 23 (KNO) : Union Home Minister, Rajnath Singh on Tuesday announced Rs 5 lakh as ex-gratia relief for each one of the families of the blast victims of Kulgam.Singh while addressing a presser said that “I’m sad over Kulgam civilian killings and Rs 5 lakh to be given to the families of the deceased as compensation.” “There were no incidents of violence during urban local body polls in Jammu & Kashmir. Today, discussions were held over the upcoming Panchayat elections in the state,” he said, adding that both state and central governments are working towards development of Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh areas.“It is our aim to make Jammu & Kashmir a developed state,” Singh said as per KNO correspondent. “As far as J&K security situation is concerned, major shift seen in last 4 months. There has been a decrease in number of stone pelting incidents. Also, I have got information that there has been a fall in number of militant recruitment in the state,” he added. (KNO)
