Srinagar, October 25 (KNO) : Ruling out any immediate dialogue with the Hurriyat leadership in Kashmir, Governor Satya Pal Malik today said that there can be no talks with the separatists as long as they follow Pakistan’s diktats on every issue including “as to when they should use the washroom.” “I recently met representatives from various parties. I met Omar Abdullah, Mehboobaji, Tarigami and others. As far as Hurriyat is concerned, they don’t even go to the toilet without asking Pakistan’s consent. So till the time they don’t keep Pakistan separate, no talks will be held with them,” he said while talking to reporters at SKICC on the sidelines of a function here.
On civilian killings in Kulgam, Malik requested the people to stay away from the gunfight sites until they are sanitised by the forces. “Partly the government is also responsible the civilian killings, but people should also cooperate with us,” Governor said. Seven civilians were killed in Laroo village of Kulgam in a blast at the site of a gunfight on Sunday. On Manan Wani’s killing, the Governor said that he wished Wani could serve the country through his knowledge and research. “But he couldn’t survive and instead he choose a wrong path,” said Governor(KNO)
