Congress pays homage to Indira Gandhi on her death anniversary | KNO

Srinagar, October 31 (KNO) : Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) to pay homage to Former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi on her 34th Death Anniversary at Party Headquarters Srinagar on Tuesday. A meeting of senior party leaders and functionaries presided over by Former JKPCC President Peerzada Mohd. Syed was held to pay homage to Former Prime Minister on her death anniversary. On this occasion, JKPCC Vice President and MLC Gulam Nabi Monga, MLC Mohd Muzaffar Parray, Spokesperson Farooq Andrabi, Gen Secreary Surinder Singh Channi, Gulam Nabi Mir Lasjan, Shameema Iqbal,Irfan Naqib, Abdul Gani Khan addressed the meeting and recalled the selfless services and sacrifices of Indira Gandhi to the nation. Speaking on the occasion, Peerzada as per the statement issued to KNO while paying homage to Former Prime Minister described her as a strong lady, saying that the Nation would continue to remain indebted to her for taking the prestige of the country to the new heights in every respect. He said Indira Ji always remained concerned for the overall development of every section of the country and worked tirelessly to strengthen the people from grass roots level. The empowerment of people was among the top priorities of Former Prime Minister. Indian is Super Power because of the sacrifices and services rendered by Gandhi Family to the Nation, Peerzada said. Addressing the meeting Gulam Nabi Monga while paying glowing tributes to Former Prime Minister on her death anniversary stated that the Secular India of Indira Gandhi is being converted into communal India by BJP RSS to serve their vested interests. The multi coloured and multi cultured Nation has become victim of Mandir Masjid politics on the part of BJP, but the Congress party will defeat their designs, he added and said It is the responsibility of the people of every religion in the country to save the Nation from being called as Communal, which will be a great tribute to Indira Ji, Monga said. On this occasion the participants observed two minutes silence to pay homage to Smt. Indira Gandhi. Those who addressed the Haji Ali Mohd Bhat, Mohd Yaqoob Vakil, Imtiyaz Khan,Ab. Gani Naseem, Mushtaq Ahmad Bazaz, Mohd Yousuf Bhat, Mir Rovais, Farhat Qureshi, Basharat Ahmad Nath, Shameema Khan, Asif Beigh, Gazi Ruhulla Shameema Sopori, Mohd Hussain Wada, Sheikh Ab.Qayoom, Shameema Mir, Saira Shameem, Abdul Ahad Tara,Gulam Nabi Mir, Umer Jan, Zulfkar Qureshi and others(KNO).
