Srinagar, Nov 01 (KNO) : Scores of family members and relatives of a missing Khanyar boy who was a student of Sharda University on Thursday staged a protest at Srinagar’s Press Enclave, demanding whereabouts of their beloved, who went missing on October 28, last this year. Days before he went missing, the Khanyar boy namely Ehtisham Bilal was assaulted in the campus when he was mistaken as Afghan national. The family and relatives, including women and children raised pro-justice slogans and demanded whereabouts of their missing beloved. “On Sunday, he went for an outing to New Delhi. Throughout the day, he was in touch with his parents over the phone. He told his father that he will send him the pictures he had clicked at different places. But by the evening, his phone was switched off and he went missing,” said a relative of missing Ethisham. The family said that they have filed a missing report at Khanyar Police Station as well as New Delhi to seek the help of authorities to trace their beloved. Earlier, former chief ministers including Omar Abdullah and Mehbooba Mufti have expressed concern over the disappearance of the Kashmiri student.(KNO)
