Shopian, November 06 (KNO) : Thousands of people here on Tuesday participated in the funeral prayers of two slain militants who were killed during a pre-dawn Gunfight with government forces in south Kashmir’s Shopian district. Reports reaching KNO that young and old across Shopian district reached Safnagri and Awneera villages to offer funeral prayers of the two slain militants who were killed during a gun battle at Safnagri area of Shopian District. Reports said that Multiple funerals were offered to the slain militants as atmosphere reverberated with pro-freedom and pro-Pakistan slogans. Idress Ahmad son of Mohammad Sultan was laid to rest in his native village of Safapora in Shopian. Eyewitness said five funeral prayers were offered for the slain militant. Idress who joined Militancy In April this year was initially a territorial Army man. Meanwhile, Multiple rounds of funeral prayers were also held for Amir Hussain rather son of Mohammad Amin Rather, in his Native Awneera village of Shopian District amidst pro-freedom and anti-India sloganeering.(KNO)
