Tral, November 10 (KNO) : A cowshed, roof and windows of house of a poor family were damaged in Tral encounter, which occurred in Dar Ganiegund area of Aripaal in South Kashmir's Tral on Friday morning. As per eyewitnesses, besides complete damage to cowshed and windows and roof of the house, "a cow and her calf were burnt alive inside, during the gunfight." The house owner namely Gh Nabi Ganie, son of Gh Ahmad Ganie, is a painter by profession. Locals present there told KNO that family is "very poor" and had lost a son, nine years back in 2009, who was a militant commander, and was killed in an encounter with forces at Sofigund village, just one kilometer from their village. They said that since then, Gh Nabi is the only bread owner for his family, "who is working hard on daily basis to feed his family". The locals further said that Gh Nabi's father-in-law was also a militant commander, who was the resident of Jawaharpora village Tral. Earlier on Friday, a JeM militant was killed there in a day long gunfight, who was later identified as Anwar Abaasi, a foreigner.(KNO)
