Srinagar, November 22 (KNO) : Alleging that Jammu and Kashmir State Legislative assembly was kept in suspended animation only to pave way for horse-trading for BJP to arrange numbers, the state Congress on Thursday called the dissolution of State assembly as ‘unconstitutional step’. According to KNO correspondent, addressing a press Conference, Mir said that the state assembly was so far kept in suspended animation with an aim to pave way for the horse-trading for BJP and allies to arrange numbers and form the government in the state. He said that soon after the three parties including NC, PDP and Congress decided to form the next dispensation in Jammu and Kashmir, New Delhi passed a direction to dissolve the assembly, which indicated their frustration. Mir said that New Delhi don’t want to see any formation of government in the State between secular like-minded people, therefore the assembly was dissolved hurriedly and that too undemocratically and unconstitutionally. He alleged that from last five months, the Governor had kept the assembly in suspended animation only to pave for BJP and its allies for horse-trading and arrange numbers to form the government. Mir said that the three parties including NC, PDP and Congress had resolved to form a government to end the unconstitutional steps being taken by State and centre administration in Jammu and Kashmir, but the assembly was dissolved in an unconstitutional way. “The situation could have been different if BJP could have claimed stake for the government formation” he said, adding that nothing is wrong with the people of Jammu and Kashmir but everything is wrong with the system put in place by New Delhi in the State.(KNO)
