Two arrested with illicit liquor in Bhaderwah | KNO

Bhaderwah, November 23 (KNO) : Police on Friday claimed to have arrested two persons carrying illicit liquor at different places in Bhaderwah. “As a part of special drive against sale of illicit liquor launched by Bhaderwah Police, today on 23.11.2017, on a specific information that one person namely Sandeep @Manu S/o Joginder Paul R/O Seri Bazar is carrying illicit liquor in a bag from new bus stand side towards Seri Bazar,” police said. Police said that on this information Police Party of P/S Bhaderwah led by SHO Muneer Khan and DSB officials established naka above old hospital on main road towards Seri Bazar and said accused on seeing police party tried to fled but was tactically apprehended and during search of his bag 36 bottles 250 ml each and 10 small bottles 180 ml each of illicit liquor were recovered from bag. “Accordingly, a Case FIR no 194/2018 U/S 148(a) has been registered in PS Bhaderwah,” police said. Police said that yesterday another person namely Ganesh Singh, son of Hakim Singh of Puneja was arrested from Forest Gali Bhaderwah from whose possession 09 bottles 750 ml each and 14 small bottles 180 ml each of illicit liquor were recovered and FIR NO 193/18 U/S 148(a) was registered against him and investigation in both cases started. “The whole operation was carried on the directions of SSP Doda Shabir Malik under the supervision of SDPO Bhaderwah Aadil Reshu and ASP Bhaderwah Rajinder Singh,” police said.(KNO)
