Srinagar, November 23 (KNO) : Doctors Association Kashmir (DAK) on Friday congratulated Health department for being adjudged as Best Performing Large State’ award to Jammu and Kashmir for impressive performance in Health sector. The award which was presented at ‘State of the States Conclave 2018’ organised by the India Today Group has bring laurels to state and each & every employee of the health department. President DAK, Dr Suhail Naik in a statement issued to KNO said that the award directly reflects the blood and sweat of my doctors and paramedics who are working day night to serve humanity at the cost of their families and social life. Doctors and Paramedics are the only employees of the state that have made the state of Jammu and Kashmir proud nationally not once but thrice consecutively, he said. “It is due to persistent and consistent efforts of health comrades in turmoil hit state, there is large improvement in rural health care delivery system and still a long way to go. This drift in the upgradation & improvement is all because of the dedicated efforts of doctors & paramedics working across the state against all odds & challenges,” Dr Naik further added. “Two and half day salary, risk  and rural allowances, security and dignity, anti rowdy ordinance, transparent transfer and deputation policy are our fundamental rights and our long drawn battle  will continue till all demands are not met,” said General secretary DAK Dr Owais H Dar. He said that it is very unfortunate and pathetic that despite state has received top national award thrice, the administration has left no stone unturned to demoralize and degrade doctors when it comes to address their long pending genuine demands. “Now keeping in view the vivid transparency in Governor led administration, we appeal Governor of the state, Satya Pal Malik, Advisor for Health, K Vijay Kumar and Principal secretary Health and Medical Educations,  Atul Dullo to address all genuine demands JK doctors once for all,” DAK said.(KNO)
