Srinagar, November 24 (KNO) : Muslim League Jammu and Kashmir on Saturday strongly condemned the killing of Ishfaq Ahmad Ganaie of Magraypora Budgam and Muskan Jan of Wanigund Qaimoh. In a statement issued to KNO, ML spokesman Sajad Ayoubi said that “Indian forces, laced with unbridled powers and impunity under the cover of black laws, are trigger-happy and kill Kashmiris whenever and wherever they wish to, as has been witnessed in the last three decades.”
“Since there is no accountability, thousands of Kashmiris have been killed in cold-blood and merciless manner and every lane in Kashmir has been turned red with the blood of innocent people over the past three decades of “intense repression.” Ayoubi said.
Questioning the “criminal” silence adopted by the world human rights bodies, Ayoubi said that for the past 70 years, Kashmiri people have been killed, blinded, maimed, tortured and all the international rights organisations instead of building pressure on New Delhi to withdraw its forces from Kashmir and resolve the conflict “prefer to remain mum, which is extremely unfortunate.”
Meanwhile, a delegation of ML comprising of Shabir Ahmad Budgami, Manzoor Ahmad Lelhari, Mohammad Yousuf Bhat and Ajaz Ahmad visited Magraypora Budgam to participate in the last rites of Ishfaq Ahmad Ganaie and expressed solidarity with the bereaved family.
ML extended heartfelt condolences and sympathies with the family members of the slain persons and prayed for peace to their departed soul.
