Hurriyat (M) pays tribute to 18 people killed in last 3 days

Srinagar, November 26 (KNO) : Hurriyat Conference (M) while paying tributes to 18 people killed in last three days in Kashmir termed it as ‘a planned genocide aimed at selective killing of people especially the young lot which deserves highest form of condemnation’. Hurriyat (M) spokesman in a statement issued to KNO paid tributes to six armed youth killed in an encounter with forces at Batagund area of Shopian that include Umar Ganai, Mushtaq Ahmed Mir, Waseem Ahmed Wagay, Khalid Faooq while as Muhammad Waseem Bhai martyred at Khrew and the civilian Muhammad Nouman killed at Batagund, Shopian, stating that “martyrs are great assets of Kashmir struggle”. He said that people of Kashmir especially youth are offering priceless sacrifices for the freedom struggle of Kashmir that has already thousands of sacrifices at its back and it high time that the people of Kashmir show unity and steadfastness to take the present ongoing struggle to its logical conclusion. The spokesman strongly denounced the ‘brute forces action’ on the peaceful protesters termed it as ‘ultimate highhandedness and arrogance’ of unbridled powers they enjoy under AFSPA. He said the forces didn't even spare the 20-month old Hiba and snatched her vision by firing pellets at her eyes. The spokesman urged world community to wake up and take strong note of the ultimate repression being unleashed by the lakhs of forces personnel on Kashmiris. Meanwhile, on the directions of Mirwaiz, senior leader Mukhtar Ahmed Waza visited the Bijbehara, Islamabad, Kulgam areas where many youth were killed in the recent past. Waza expressed solidarity with the families of youth martyred and stated that the mission of martyrs will be taken to its realization.(KNO)
