Srinagar, November 27 (KNO) : Joint Resistance Leadership (JRL) comprising of Syed Ali Shah Geelani, Mirwaiz Muhammad Umar Farooq and Muhammad Yasin Malik on Tuesday said that nooks and corners, roads and hills, meadows and mountains and rivers and lakes of Jammu Kashmir have been turned red by spilling the blood of innocent Kashmiris. JRL in a statement issued to KNO said that the people are being killed as they are asking for their right to self-determination, which has been guaranteed to them by the United Nations and pledged by Indian leaders like MK Ghandi and Jawahar Lal Nehru. They said that “Indian colonial mindset has gone berserk in Kashmir and it is slaughtering humans at will without any remorse or repentance. Our young men and boys are falling to the Indian bullets and residential houses and properties to its explosives and chemicals.” “To justify their crimes against humanity, Indians dub slain Kashmiris as terrorists and houses along with civilians as supporters of terrorism which is outrageous,” asserted JRL. “We want to ask a question from rulers and their ‘viceroy’ like Governor in Kashmir that why was the eyesight of 18-month-old baby Hiba Jan snatched by pellets. Was she a terrorist or stone thrower or even an agitator? We want to ask them about the crime of 15-year-old Muskaan Jan who was gunned down by their coward forces. Was she carrying a gun or a stone at the time she was showered with bullets,” asked JRL. They said that leaders and their deployed authorities in Jammu Kashmir have unleashed and expedited this reign of terror and massacres in a bid to defeat Kashmiri resistance but they fail to realize that if defeating or intimidating a nation that has resolved to achieve freedom and right to self-determination would have been possible then many nations including India would not have been sovereign countries today. JRL said that “India and its viceroy in the form of Governor, should wake up from their daydreaming and realize that India will have to accept the aspirations of the people of Jammu Kashmir, bow before a people’s resistance sooner or later and accept the right of self-determination of the people of Jammu Kashmir as it is also in the in the interest of their own nations and people.” Meanwhile, leaders and activists from JRL gathered at Koker-bazar Lal Chowk and staged a protest against killing of Kashmiris by forces especially the killing of Muskan Jan and snatching of the eyesight of Hiba Jan. JRL leaders Ghulam Rasool Dar Eidhi, Muhammad Shafi Khan, Molvi Bashir Irfani, Noor Muhammad Kalwal, Mushtaq Ahmad Sofi, Hilal Ahmad War, Bilal Ahmad Sideeqi, Sheikh Abdul Rashid, Peer Ghulam Nabi, Muhammad Yousuf Naqash, Muhammad Zaman Mir, Farooq Ahmad Sodagar, Muhammad Yaseen Ataie, Ashraf Bin Salam, Abdul Rashid Untoo, Khawaja Firdous Wani, Syed Muhammad Shafi, Muhammad Sideeq Shah, Ghulam Prof Javeed Muhammad Nagoo, Ghulam Hassan Mir, Jafer Kashmiri, Abul Majid Wani, Shakil Ahmad Butt and Imtiyaz Ahmad Shah were present in the protest. Scores of people from walks of life including Deen Muhammad Matoo (President Traders Federation Lal Chowk, Farooq Ahmad Batkoo president Traders Federation Koker-bazar, M. Saleem Dar general secretary Traders Federation Koker-bazar and Muhammad Amin Magloo, Shabir Ahmad Dabla and others also participated in today’s protest program. Holding placards and raising slogans against ‘unending carnage’ by forces in nooks and corners of Kashmir valley especially in southern districts of Kashmir, participants of protest condemned what they termed as Indian aggression against unarmed Kashmiris. The protest demonstration was addressed by various JRL leaders.(KNO)
