Sopore, November 30 (KNO) : A complete shutdown is being observed on the second consecutive day in Sopore town of north. Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Friday to mourn the killing of a local militant, Mehraj-ud-din. Mehraj-ud-Din Khan alias Kaleemullah was killed in a gunfight along with a top LeT commander Naveed Jatt in a gunfight in Chattergam area of Budgam on Wednesday. All the shops and other business establishments are closed in the town while public transport is also off the roads. However, the movement of private transport is witnessed on the roads. Eye witness said that people including men and women, are visiting the house of the slain militant at New Colony to offer condolences. Meanwhile, clashes erupted between youth and forces in the early morning at Arampora area of Sopore. Educational institutions across Sopore town are also closed today.(KNO)
