Srinagar, December 03 (KNO) : Police on Monday claimed to have rescued five boys who were trying to join the militant ranks. “Parents of some boys from Srinagar reported to Police that they received phone calls from their kids who had left for their school in morning informing that they are going to join the militants ranks," police said. "To ensure quick and timely action, Srinagar police constituted a special team and with the help of families strenuous efforts led to tracing of all the five missing boy. They were brought back safely," they said as per KNO.It is learnt that the boys were threatening to join militancy whereas no active association of these boys could be found with any outfit. Later, all the five boys were counselled and handed over to the parents.Timely information and efforts of family played a key role in this endeavor, police said.(KNO)
