Samba, December 04 (KNO) : Chief Electoral Officer J&K, Shaleen Kabra on Tuesday visited polling stations in Block Samba and Nud where Panchayat Election for phase VII was held. He visited Government High School Katli where Panchayat Election for Panchayat Katli, Diani, Amb Talli and Ramnagar were held. The CEO also visited Government Higher Secondary School Nud where Panchayat election for panchayat Bharatgarh, Sarain, Dodha and Papat Avatara where underway.
The Chief Electoral Officer enquired about satisfaction of contesting candidates regarding entire process of election including security, transparency and free and fair conduct of Panchayat Elections. C.E.O congratulated District Administration Samba for deligently putting all necessary requisites for securing high voter turnout, in which case district Samba recorded 85.48% in phase VII today. Later CEO and team also took stock of counting process and the arrangements put in place. He exhorted upon the counting staff to perform their duty by remaining unbaised and attentive. He also asked for putting up security at alert especially during counting process. Deputy Commissioner Samba Sushma Chauhan, Senior Superintendent of Police Samba Koushal Kumar Sharma Addl. Deputy Commissioner Dr. Arun Manhas Deputy CEO Anil Salgotra, Dy.
