Srinagar, December 06 (KNO) : Appealing central government and state government to provide peaceful atmosphere to trade community in Jammu and Kashmir to run their businesses peacefully Kashmir Chamber of Commerce and Industries said on Thursday that the business community is incurring huge losses. Members of the trading fraternity were addressing a presser here. “We are sufferings huge losses with each passing day and the GOI and state government must ensure peaceful atmosphere to the people here so that the people would find space for peaceful protests and the businesses would run peacefully here,” they said. They said that not only are trading community under immense losses but handicrafts, tourism and others too are facing the brunt. “We desperately want that Govt to ensure smooth trade in the Valley,” he said. KCC&I expressed concern over prevailing human rights violation, innocent killings and pellet injuries saying that even 18-month-old child has not been spared from loss of eyesight. “The business community has been under great stress on account of repeated turbulences in Kashmir. We are not getting favourable atmosphere of conducting business on account of these impediments and our all sectors are badly affected,” they said as per a KNO correspondent. “We need peaceful environment to continue our activities to be conducted. We express our concern for yesterday’s arrest of traders despite conducting peaceful protests in a democratic way,” they said. KCC&I members said that they will hold a peaceful march from Chamber office to press Enclave on Saturday (December 08) to express their concerns.(KNO)
