Srinagar, December 11 (KNO) : Calling the win of Indian National Congress (INC) in three states out of five including Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh as booster for the party, the state congress on Tuesday said that the congress is the only party, which is committed to establish religious plurality in the country. Talking to KNO, Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) president, Ghulam Ahmad Mir said that the verdict of people was otherwise expected. "The divisive politics played from last five years was deserving a strong response from the people. BJP played a divisive politics from last four months and failed to fulfill the promises done with the people," he said. Mir added that “politics of intolerance has no place in India and people have delivered this message to BJP in all the five states which went polls recently." "Congress is the only party committed to establish religious plurality in the country and any party tending to divide the people in the country will have to face the fate BJP faced today in the five states," he added. Mir said that verdict thrown by the people today in five states was just a beginning and “I am sure BJP will be decimated in 2019 Lok Sabha elections on its own failures including demonetization and politics of religious divides.” He added that today’s verdict was the booster for the Congress. "Today's verdict was the win of people as they were suffering a lot in every aspect," he said. About Jammu and Kashmir, Mir said that people have seen regional parties failing on their commitments and now " we believe that congress will emerge as single largest party here in the upcoming assembly elections. People believe that the Congress is the only party which is committed to establish religious plurality in the country.”(KNO)
