Srinagar, December 12 (KNO) : District Police Kargil on Wednesday distributed uniform and stationery items among the students of Govt. Middle School Atting, Zanskar under Civic Action Programme.
The event as per a statement issued to KNO was held under conscientious superintendence of SP Kargil Dr. Vinod Kumar-IPS, and competent supervision of DySP DAR Kargil Rigzin Sandup.
The uniform items including shirts, pants, sweaters and shoes and stationery items like notebooks, pens, pencils and school bags were distributed by I/C SDM Zanskar Sh. Tandup Namgayal, Chief guest on the occasion in presence of SHO P/S Zanskar SI Jameel-ur-Rehman.
Speaking on the occasion, Tundup Namgyal said, “The freebies distribution by the police is an appreciable move towards ensuring free and compulsory education to the students.”
The general public including parents of the students of Village Atting lauded the role of District Police Kargil for supporting the students in their pursuance of quality education. Besides others, Sarpanch, Panch, numberdar and staff of the school were also present on the occasion.(KNO)
