Srinagar, December 18 (KNO): Peer Mohammad Khan (83) (Retd) General Manager of JKSRTC passed away today after a brief illness. Khan’s contribution to SRTC is considered as one of the founding fathers of the corporation whose leadership and pro-worker approach made JKSRTC a gem amongst the state government corporations, self sufficient and resourceful.
Even when the corporation suffered at the hand of turmoil post 1990, he managed the show and steered the corporation through some extremely tough times, a contribution which is hailed by even present lot of officers and employees who see him as a role model and a leader par excellence. Till his last breath, Khan continued to offer his advice and suggestions to ensure the corporation flourishes.
Meanwhile, Kashmir Video Journalists Association (KVJA) expressed grief over the sad demise of maternal uncle of times television network JK Bureau chief Mir Fareed. KVJA in a statement issued to KNO prayed for eternal peace to the departed soul.(KNO)
