JAMMU & KASHMIR Cordon and search launched in Karewas of Awantipora, Internet services snapped | KNO Published 272 weeks ago on December 26, 2018 By KashmirNewsObserver Awantipora, December 26 (KNO) : Government forces on Wednesday morning launched a cordon and search operation in Pulwama villages and it's adjacent area after receiving inputs about the presence of militants in the area. Sources said KNO that following the inputs about the presence of militants in a hideout in Karewa of Renzipora belt of Awantipora in southern Kashmir’s Pulwama district, the joint teams of army’s Rashtriya Rifles, Jammu and Kashmir’s Police’s Special Operations Group and paramilitary forces launched a cordon and search operation. As per locals the search operation was started around 6 am and is still on. Meanwhile authorities have snapped internet services in Awantipora and Pulwama police districts to avoid law and order problems.
