Srinagar, December 31 (KNO) : Police on Monday claimed to have arrested a person involved in kidnapping case, saying that he was evading arrestsince 2011.
“One absconder namely Faiz Ahmed, son of Summa Khandey of Kakota Thathri District Doda who was absconding in case FIR No. 04/2011 under section 366/109 RPC, P/S Thathri and evading his arrest since September 2011 was arrested. The Court “Judicial Magistrate Ist Class” had issued arrest warrant U/S 512 Cr.P.C against the absconder on 05/09/2011,” police said as per KNO.
Police said that SHO of police station Thathri SI Sunil Parihar activated all the sources, also enquired from the relatives of absconder and collected information from CDR and Tower Location and finally, arrested the absconder from Chenani.
The arrest was made by SI Sunil Parihar under close supervision of SDPO Bhaderwah, Adil Rishu and ASP Bhaderwah Rajinder Singh on the directions of SSP Doda Shabir Malik, police said. They said that the general public of the area has appreciated the role of Doda Police.(KNO)
