Pulwama, January 03 (KNO) : Three militants and one Army man were killed in an gunfight that raged between militants and government forces in Gulshan Pora Village of Tral area, while dozens were injured in the clashes in Pulwama district that erupted post the gunfight. Police sources confirmed KNO that three militants have been killed in the gunfight, while the Army man injured has succumbed to injuries at Army hospital.  “Three Army men were injured and were air lifted to Army base hospital where one among them succumbed to his injuries,” he said. Officials claimed that the bodies of the militants have been recovered, saying that the operation has ended in the area. Massive clashes erupted in the area and other areas after news of militants killings spread. “Dozens have been injured in the clashes between forces and protesting youth who took to the streets,” locals claimed. Providing details of the encounter, officials said that militants hiding in forest area fired upon forces, which was retaliated, triggering an encounter.(KNO)
