HM militant arrested in Kishtwar | KNO

Srinagar, January 09 (KNO): Kishtwar Police on Wednesday claimed to have arrested a wanted Hizb-ul-Mujahideen militant in the district. Police in a statement issued to KNO said a militant identified as Reyaz Ahmed, son of Mohd Ramzan of Sounder Dachhan, wanted in case FIR under 182/2018 under section 120-B/121/121-A/RPC 7/27 I.A Act, 4/5 Exp Act 3/13/U(P)A of Police Station Kishtwar was arrested. "Ever since, the case was registered on 1st July-2018 and two accused belonging to HM outfit were arrested," police said, adding that the case was with held for want of the arrest of Tohseef Gundana and Reyaz. "Police party headed by SHO Kishtwar under the supervision of SSP Rajinder Gupta JKPS arrested Reyaz Ahmed," police said, adding that the arrested militant was also involved in the case under section 7/25 Arms Act, 3/5 EXP Act of P/S Parimpora, Srinagar reportedly. “There is likelihood of one more arrest in this case and subsequent recoveries," police said, adding that the accused person is 'hardcore motivator' of youth who encourages them for joining militancy and related activities and a close associate of HM militant Mohd Amin @ Jhangir Reyaz Ahmed. “Police has launched a man hunt to effect certain more arrests shortly,” said SSP Rajinder Gupta.(KNO)
