Srinagar, January 15 (KNO) : Former Jammu and Kashmir chief minister, Mehbooba Mufti on Tuesday pitched for inclusion of militant leadership in dialogue process at an “appropriate time.” “We need to talk to militants as well as they are ones holding guns in their hands and only they can stop it," Mufti said as per KNO correspondent. She said that it has been her stand since long that the local militants should be saved. "Dialogue with Pakistan is needed and Hurriyat as well and militants too need to be included in it. It's too early though but it should be," she said. In a tweet by Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) leader, Syed Suhail Bukhari said that PDP chief told reporters that the talks with militants at this juncture were not possible. “@MehboobaMufti bats for talks with militant leadership at appropriate time. May be not at this juncture, but at an appropriate time even militant leadership should be talked to along with Pakistan and separatists, she told reporters in Anantnag, south Kashmir,” Bukhari tweeted. However, she as per KNO has also reacted over the truth and reconciliation promise of NC president Dr Farooq Abdullah, stating that the NC has failed to fulfill its promises done with the people since long. “We are not against the truth and reconciliation committee but it will be good step incase its formations takes place,” she said.(KNO)
