Protesters demand case against culprits, license of doctors be cancelled

Bandipora, January 21 (KNO): Protests erupted in Bandipora district on Monday over the heart wrenching incident at Lal ded maternity hospital in which a lady referred from Kupwara had to deliver a baby outside the medical facility and subsequently the new born died. Protesters demanded stern action against the doctors involved. "License of such doctors should be immediately cancelled," they said as per KNO correspondent. According to protesters the doctors at the hospital had used foul language with the patient and taunted them for being a nomadic population. "To a doctor a patient is a patient regardless of where he comes from and as a Muslims we are equal. Such divisive approach is a Hindu trait, " they said, asking authorities to remove such doctors who have such a negative mentalities. “First due to their negligence a life has been lost so a case be registered against them, second such a doctor is back disgrace for humanity and their license be revoked immediately,” they demanded.(KNO)
