Republic Day: Full dress rehearsal held across Kashmir | KNO

Srinagar, January 24 (KNO) : In connection with the celebration of 70th Republic-Day, full dress rehearsal was held at all the district headquarters of the Kashmir valley on Thursday.

At Srinagar, the full-dress rehearsal was held at the Sher-i-Kashmir Stadium whereat Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir, Baseer Ahmad Khan, unfurled the national flag, inspected the parade and took the salute at the march past. 

Deputy Commissioner, Srinagar, Dr Syed Abid RashidShah, Inspector General of Police S P Pani, Senior Superintendent of Police, besides senior officers of civil administration and Police Department and other concerned were present on the occasion.

The march past was presented by contingents of J&K Police, JK Armed Police, Border Security Force, CRPF, ITBP, SSB, Women Police, State Disaster Response Force, Fire and Emergency Services, NCC cadets and students’ children.

On the occasion, various colourful cultural programmes were presented by students from different educational institutions in joint collaboration of Department of Information, Education Department, Cultural Academy of Art, Culture and Languages, and the Youth Services and Sports Department.

At Pulwama, the full-dress rehearsal was held at District Police Lines, Pulwama wherein, Assistant Commissioner Revenue   Qazi Masood, after unfurling the tricolor, inspected the parade and took salute at the march past.

The march past was presented by the contingents of JKP, CRPF, J&K Armed Police, Commandos, Home Guard and school children of various educational institutions.

On the occasion, SP Pulwama, senior Civil and police officers and prominent citizens were also present.

At Budgam, the full-dress rehearsal was held at Sports Stadium, where Additional District Development Commissioner, Khurshid Ahmad Sanai hoisted the national flag and took the salute at the march past presented by JKP, JKAP, CRPF, Fire & Emergency Services, Home Guards, NCC and school children. Cultural programmes including traditional folk songs were also presented on the occasion. Among others, SSP Budgam and officers of district administration and others were also present on the occasion.

At Ganderbal, a full dress rehearsal for Republic Day celebrations was held at MadriMeharban Stadium, in which ADDC, Ganderbal Shafqat Iqbal, unfurled the tricolour and took the salute at the march past presented by the contingents of JKP, JKAP, CRPF and school children. Cultural programmes were also presented on the occasion.

Officers from civil administration, police, army and senior citizens also attended the function.

The march-past was presented by the contingents of JKP, JKAP, CRPF, IRP, Home Guard, PTS Manigam, besides, school children from various educational institutions presented scintillating and colorful cultural items including traditional folk and theme based skits as a part of the full-dress rehearsal.

In his address, ADDC lauded the importance of Republic-Day celebration and highlighted the achievements registered by different departments in the district including education, health and sports during the current financial year.

The event was witnessed by ADC Ganderbal Naseer Ahmad Wani, ASP Ganderbal, Fayaz Hussain, DSP, Ganderbal, CEO Ganderbal, various other civil, police officers, heads of educational institutions and officials from the district administration.

At Baramulla a full dress rehearsal for the Republic-day function was held at District Police Lines Baramulla, where Additional Deputy Commissioner, Farooq Ahmad Baba unfurled the tri-colour. He also inspected the parade and took the salute at the march-past presented by the contingents of JKP, IRP, JKAP, Home Guard, CRPF, NCC and School Children. On the occasion, various colourful cultural programmes were presented by students from different educational institutions.

SSP, Baramulla, Director Planning, District Information officer, District Sports Officer, Coordinator Nehru YuvaKender Baramulla besides Senior Officers from Civil Administration, Police, Army and a large number of people were also present on the occasion. Similar functions were held at Sub-district and Tehsil headquarters of the district, where concerned Sub-District Magistrates and Tehsildars inspected the programmers.

At Kupwara, a full dress rehearsal was held at District Police Lines, Kupwara, where Additional Deputy Commissioner, Mohammed Yousuf Mir took salute on the march past.

On the occasion, various cultural programmes were also presented by the school children.

SSP Kupwara, Assistant Commissioner Revenue Kupwara, Bashir Ahmad, and other concerned were present on the occasion.

Meanwhile, Full dress rehearsals were also held today at District Police Line Handwara  in which Tehsildar Handwara unfurled the National Flag, inspected the parade & took salute presented by contingents from JKP, Armed Police, CRPF, BSF and school children's.

Officers from civil administration & police department & other concerned were present on the occasion. Colourful cultural programmes were presented by students from different educational institutions. Meanwhile, similar function was held at Tangdar where Naib Tehsildar   unfurled the tri-colour and took salute at the March past.

At Shopian, Additional District Development Commissioner Shopian, Muhammad Saleem Malik unfurled the tricolour during full dress rehearsal event at District Police Lines Shopian. He took the salute at the march pastpresented by the contingents of CRPF, JK Police, Home guards and school children’s of various educational institutions besides contingents of Fire & Emergency Service and Forest Protection Force also took part in the march past.

A variety of colourful cultural programme were presented by the students of various educational institutions depicting national integration uniting in diversity. On the occasion, senior citizens of the district, officials of the Civil Administration, Police department and a large number of people participated.

At Bandipora, a full dress rehearsal function was held at S.K. Sports Stadium., where Additional Deputy Commissioner Bandipora Zahoor Ahmad Mir inspected the parade and took salute on the march past presented by the contingents of JKP, JKAP, IRP, CRPF, NCC and the school children.

The march-past was presented by the contingents of JKP, JKAP, IRP, CRPF, NCC cadets and students from different schools also took part in the event.  Assistant Commissioner Revenue Reyaz Ahmad Beigh, Deputy Superintendent of Police Abdul Rasheed Khan and other senior officers were present on the occasion. School children on the occasion presented colourful cultural programmes and received a huge applause from the audiences.

On the occasion, ADC Bandipora addressed the gathering and highlighted the performance of the district during the current financial year under various state and centrally sponsored schemes.

At Anantnag, Additional District Development Commissioner, Anantnag Mr. Riyaz Ahmad Sofi, hoisted the national flag and took the salute at the parade held at Government Degree College (Boys), Khanabal.

The contingents of 40 Bn. CRPF, 11 Bn. IRP (JKAP), District Police, J&K Auxiliary Police (Home Guard), District Ladies Police, NCC, District Police Band of DPL besides school children from various government and Private Schools participated in the March Past. Colourful cultural programmes were presented by Information Department, Department of Youth Services and Sports and groups of various Government and Private schools.

The SSP, Anantnag Mohammad Altaf Khan, ADCs Showkat Ahmad Rather, ParvaizSajad, Additional SP Anantnag, District Officers from various  departments and a large number of people were also present on the occasion.

At Kulgam, the full dress rehearsal was held at District Police Lines Kulgam where ADDC Khawaja Nazir Ahmad unfurled the national flag and took the salute at the parade. The march past was presented by contingents of J&K Police, Women Police, NCC cadets and students.

On the occasion, various colourful cultural programmes were presented by the students from different educational institutions. ADDC Khawaja Nazir Ahmad highlighted the importance of the republic day and also threw light on the achievements in district.

In Kargil, the full dress rehearsal programmes were held in various parts of the district. The main function was held at Khree Sultan Chow Sports Stadium Bemathang in which Deputy Commissioner Vikas Kundal unfurled the tricolour and took the salute at march past parade presented by JKP, NCC cadets, civil band party and school children.

Superintendent of Police Dr Vinod Kumar and the officers of Civil Administration and Police Department were present on the occasion. The march past was presented by the contingents of J&K Police, NCC cadets and students of Government and private educational institutions. Various colorful cultural programmes were also presented by the students from different educational institutions and the artists of J&K Academy of Art, Culture and Languages.

The rehearsal regarding Republic Day celebrations were also held at Sub Divisional and Tehsil headquarters of the district, where concerned Sub-District Magistrates and Tehsildars inspected the programmes.

At Leh, a colourful full-dress rehearsal of Republic Day celebrations was held at Polo-ground Leh today where Additional District Development Commissioner, LehMosisKunzang hoisted the National Tricolor and took salute at an impressive parade. The contingents of paramilitary forces, JK Ladies Police, NCC and school children in their best uniforms took part in the parade.

The SSP, LehSargun Shukla was present on the occasion and she gave a number of important tips and instructions to the contingents for improvement of parade and discipline. The school children of different institutions also presented a colourful cultural programme. Similar full dress rehearsal was also conducted at all Sub divisional headquarters of the district today.(KNO)
