Senior Cop commits suicide in Budgam, probe ordered | KNO

Budgam, January 28 (KNO) : A senior cop of a rank of head constable shot himself dead with his service rifle in central Kashmir’s Budgam district on Monday. The police have ordered a probe to look into the cause of suicide. Reports reaching KNO that head constable Mohammad Shafi Mir (46) son of Muhamamd Ismail Mir resident of Sadoora Anantnag who was posted at District Police Line (DPL) Budgam shot himself dead with his service rifle on Monday morning. SSP Budgam Amod Nagpure said that cop committed suicide by firing upon himself at DPL Budgam today early morning. "Investigations started to ascertain the reasons for suicide," he told KNO.
