Snow, rainfall likely on Jan 30, 31: Weatherman

Srinagar, January 28 (KNO) : The weatherman on Monday predicted snow, rainfall across Jammu and Kashmir on Jan 30 and 31. According to Deputy Director Meteorological department Mukhtar Ahmad, heavy to moderate snow, rains are expected to lash Valley on these days. He told KNO that they expect heavy snowfall on upper reaches and moderate shower in plains. According to the India Meteorological Department, Jan 28 will be dry and on Jan 29 there would be rain, snowfall at isolated places. "On Jan 30, 31 a widespread snowfall, rainfall is expected at most places,” they said, adding that on Feb 1 and 2 there might be rain, snow on scattered areas and on Feb 3 there is a prediction of rain, snowfall at isolated places. “Weather in Jammu, Ladakh will remain as of Kashmir,” the statement reads. The department asked people to stay updated and informed about the weather prediction for Jan 30 and 31 due to expectation of heavy snow, rainfall in valley.(KNO)
