Six civilians injured in Kulgam grenade attack | KNO

Srinagar, January 30 (KNO) : At least six civilians were injured after suspected militants lobbed a grenade towards police station in south Kashmir’s Kulgam district on Wednesday afternoon. Reports reaching KNO said that suspected militants lobbed a grenade towards the police station at DH Pora in Kulgam, however, the grenade exploded outside the premises of the station, injuring three civilians. The injured persons were soon shifted to hospital for the treatment. A police officer while confirming the incident said that area has been cordoned off and search operation has been launched to nab the attackers The injured persons were identified as Ayaz Ahmad Bhat of Ashmuji Kulgam splinters on face, Sabzar Ahmad Hajam of Nandimarg splinters on throat, Bilal Ah Khatana of Bangiward KB pora. Splinters on Left arm, Riyaz Bhat, son of Gul Bhat of Ashmuji, Subzar Hajam, son of Gh Mohammad of Nadimarag and Bilal Khatana, son of Ghulam Hassan of Bangward.(KNO)
