Augmented infra, manpower must for ensuring quality services to migrants: Farooq Shah | KNO

Jammu, January 30 (KNO) : Secretary Disaster Management Relief, Rehabilitation and Reconstruction (DMRRR), Farooq Ahmad Shah, today said that strengthening of Relief and Rehabilitation Department with adequate infrastructure and manpower is essential for ensuring timely and quality relief services to the migrants.

The Secretary made these remarks while chairing a meeting held to discuss the issues of Migrant Colonies of the state and action taken regarding execution of sanitation works in theses colonies. While addressing the officers, Shah exhorted upon them to ensure that all the repair and renovation works in the migrant colonies are executed on time. “Judicious use of funds and quality of works must be adhered to strictly for good results,” he added.

He asked the officers to float tenders for the works at the earliest so that works can be initiated in these colonies. He also directed the officers to complete renovation works of Jagti Township before the coming Shivratri festival. Relief Commissioner (Migrants) Jammu and other officers of DMRRR and Relief Organization, Jammu attended the meeting.(KNO)
