Srinagar, January 31 (KNO) : As the militants stepped-up the grenade attacks across Kashmir since January 21, the state police on Thursday said that it was verifying about the module involved in the act and will soon unearth it. Police also said that it was also verifying the details of cases of youth who have gone missing since past ten days in Budgam and Southern districts of Pulwama and Shopian. Talking exclusively to KNO, Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) Law and Order/ Security, Munir Ahmad Khan said that militants started grenade attacks ahead of January 26 in Srinagar and some areas of South Kashmir districts to show their presence. “We have unearthed many grenade throwing modules in the past and are on job to identify the module involved in fresh attacks," Khan told KNO. Since January 21, a series of grenade attacks took at Zero bridge, Paladium Cinema, and Mehjoor Nagar in Srinagar while as similar attacks were carried in South Kashmir's Shopian and Pulwama districts. The fresh attacks were carried in Kulgam and Pulwama districts. The previous grenade attacks were claimed by Jaish-e-Muhammad. Replying to a query whether the missing youth from Budgam and Southern Kashmir including two engineering students had joined militancy, the ADGP said, “We are verifying each case. Nothing is clear yet.”(KNO)
