DSEK directs school heads to create WhatsApp groups of parents | KNO

Srinagar, January 31 (KNO): Directorate of School Education Kashmir (DSEK) on Thursday asked all heads of schools to create WhatsApp groups of parents to make them aware about the activities taking place in the schools. A DSEK order under number DSEK/PS/30 dated 31/01/2019, copy of which lies with KNO reads that all heads of the schools are enjoined upon to create WhatsApp groups of parents in every school. "The school heads shall act as admins of these WhatsApp groups and are advised to share all academic/non-academic activities on these groups so that parents are made well aware about the activities of the school,” it reads The DSEK stressed upon the school heads to “update the parents with day to day activities/performance/ attendance of their wards” on the WhatsApp groups for the parents’ “information and prompt intervention wherever required”. It added besides, the school heads shall create websites of their schools and upload all the relevant information on this for the benefit of stakeholders.(KNO)
