Srinagar, February 04 (KNO): Police on Monday claimed to have arrested two drug peddlers and recovered nearly 90 grams of heroin from their possession. Police said that on Sunday, police party from Gandhi Nagar led by Station HOuse Officer (SHO) Sunil Jasrotia laid a naka at Chattri Chowk Gandhi Nagar.
"During naka checking, one City Honda Car bearing registration number DL7CF/3558 was intercepted and on frisking/search 90 gms of Heroin were recovered from the possession of the driver of the Car namely Dilbagh Singh, son of S. Janak Singh of Ward No. 4 Simbal Camp Jammu and his other associate namely Mumtaz Ahmed, son of Showket Ali of Salwa Tehsil Mendhar, Poonch," statement issued to KNO said.
It added that police has taken cognizance and registered case FIR No. 37/2019 U/S 8/21/22/29 NDPS Act. It is pertinent to mention here that the accused Dilbagh Singh is a hardcore criminal and involved in a number of cases of attempt to murder/ narcotics.(KNO)
