Urge PM to intervene in implementing promises made with them

Jammu, February 06 (KNO) : Employees of the Jammu and Kashmir civil secretariat Wednesday went on a pen down strike against delay in implementation of the decisions taken by J&K chief Secretary on December 24 last year. The pen down strike was called by JKCS Coordination Committee, while its president Ghulam Rasool Mir told KNO that the employees had been expecting present Chief Secretary to address their long pending issues including restoration of KAS slots in favor feeding Service Promotees, Revocation of SRO 202, Resolving accommodation issue of move employees, end attachment system in the Administrative offices, approve cadre reviews of various cadres viz Law, Planning and Accounts Services, pay anomalies of various cadres, and other pending issues. "General Administration Department is deliberately delaying the files," Mir said, adding that chief secretary had that time agreed in principle to the demands of the employees and promised that the they will be addressed in a time bound manner within 15 days last December. The protesting employees said that they had pinned hope in Chief Secretary BVR Subrahmanyam, but some middle rung officers are playing mischief. "We again appeal to the Prime Minister to seek report from state government," they told KNO. Work in the offices was badly hit due to strike in the secretariat. (KNO)
