Jammu, February 06 (KNO) : Jammu and Kashmir Governor, Satya Pal Malik on Wednesday said that there is no need to take former chief minister Mehbooba Mufti seriously as she is facing a predicament of cracking party and is trying to garner support by criticising India and its Army. "You should understand her predicament as elections are round the corner and her party is breaking. By criticising the Indian politics and its Army she wants to gather support,” Malik said, while talking to reporters in Jammu. According to KNO correspondent, Malik said that criticism to India and its Army 'is the way Mufti has gained power last time and she is doing the same'. "The moral of Indian Army cannot be subdued by anybody's statements," Malik said. Mehbooba Mufti had criticised the Army on its role in torturing a boy whose brother is a serving army man from south Kashmir at a camp. She had said that if these incidents could happen with families of people who are serving the army 'think about the common people, what they would be under going through'. "Major of the unit should be held responsible," she had said on Tuesday evening after visiting the boy at Srinagar's main hospital SMHS. She has been critical of the Governor and also Prime Minister Narendra Modi, accusing both of furthering a Hindutva agenda detrimental to “the soul and spirit of the country's democratic set-up". Malik said that they have given clear instructions to forces that no incidents excesses should take place. “If any violation has taken place we will look into it,” Malik said. (KNO)
