JMF, shopkeeper Union Talab Khatikan stage protest | KNO

Jammu, February 09 (KNO) : Jammu Muslim Front and Shopkeeper Union Talab Khatikan on Saturday held a protest against lack of water supply and sanitation in Talab Khatikan area. A protest lead by Qazi Imran President Jammu Muslim Front, President Shopkeeper Association Mubariz Khan and General Secretary (SKA) and Senior Leader of NC Mohsin Salaria, Jahangir Ahmed Butt, Mohd Ashraf, locals and others was held at Talab Khatikan to highlight the poor condition of area which during Darbar move faces water scarcity in the area as lots of hotels have to cater to the demand of visitor which is the only source of income for hotelier this influx has Increased vows of local residents. PHE department supply is insufficient and many supply lines are broken which supply dirty drinking water, the protesters told KNO, adding that “our time and again request has fallen to deaf ears of the authorities.” “With the Darbar in Jammu and rush of public in the area which has Markazi Jamia Masjid has increased the sanitation problem which Jammu Municipal Corporation fails to provide,” they said. Jammu Muslim Front and other leader have appealed to Govt to redress the problem at war-footing.(KNO)
