Srinagar, February 13 (KNO): Army on Wednesday handed over the body of a man from Pakistan administered Kashmir (PaK) to Pakistan authorities.
As per details with KNO, a formal handing over of body was held at Chakan Da Bagh LoC crossing point near Poonch.
During this, Indian Army formally handed over the body of PaK national to Pakistan Army in presence of other officers.
Body will reportedly now be taken to Kotli Gujaran village in Kotli tehsil of PaK where his last rites will be performed by his family members.
Pertinently, the deceased PaK man was found lying dead in Jhanger forward village of LoC in Nowshera on 23 July 2018 after which investigation was started but he remain unidentified and body was then buried in Mohra Kampala village of Nowshera.
He was than identified as Mohd Arshad, son of Mohd Shabir resident of Kotli Gujaran.
Recently, a request of his family was received through Pak army to hand over the body for performing his last rites in native village which was accepted and body was exhumed from grave on Tuesday.(KNO)
