Srinagar, February 19 (KNO) : Jammu Kashmir Democratic Freedom Party (JKDFP) Tuesday appealed the justice loving people of the whole world to play their role in curbing the communal forces who have started a campaign to physically harm and mentally disturb the Kashmiri people who are residing outside the valley in connection with their business, education or employment. JKDFP Secretary General, Moulana Mohammad Abdullah Tari in a statement issued to KNO strongly denounced the thrashing, intimidation and damage to properties of hundreds of Kashmiri students, labourers, businessmen and government employees in Jammu and various Indian states. He also strongly reacted against the registering of cases on Kashmiri students at various places and arresting of many in Himachal Pradesh. Moulana Tari said that “fanatic elements have let loose a reign of terror in Jammu and various Indian states and they seem to be working on a communal agenda by targeting Kashmiris.” Tari said Kashmiri people are worried about the well being of their beloved ones who are busy outside and are being targeted only for being Kashmiri Muslims. He also expressed concern over the targeting of Muslims of Jammu by the communal forces. Moulana said that Jammu Muslims have been on the target of communal forces from 1947. However the days are gone when Jammu Muslims were harassed freely because their Kashmiri brethren are at their back though oppressed and suppressed themselves. Meanwhile, JKDFP expressed deep sorrow and anguish over the killing of a civilian, Mushtaq Ahmad at Pinglan Pulwama by government forces. The party paid tributes to those who were killed in Penglan gunfight.(KNO)
