Srinagar, February 27 (KNO): Doctors Association Kashmir (DAK) Wednesday condemned the attack on Kashmiri medicos pursuing post-graduation in Government Medical College Jammu. “It is act of cowardice and collective shame that some goons have entered to PG hostel GMC Jammu premises and have harassed the Kashmiri medicos and vandalized hostel property in the dead of night,” DAK said today a press communiqué issued to KNO. DAK appealed administration to take cognizance of heinous incident and book goons under the relevant laws of land. Meanwhile, DAK said concrete measures should be taken to protect Muslim doctors from all forms of harm that may be directed at them on account of their ethnicity or identity. DAK further urged the Governor of J&K and Advisor for Health and Medical Education Department, K Vijay Kumar to look into the matter on urgent basis so that such goons are booked as per law of the land.(KNO)
