JAMMU & KASHMIR Three drug peddlers arrested in Anantnag | KNO Published 269 weeks ago on February 27, 2019 By KashmirNewsObserver Srinagar, February 27 (KNO) : Three persons were arrested on Monday following an action against those involved in drug peddling in Anantnag. Three persons were arrested for the drug offences during Naka checking at Tulkhan Bijbehara. This is a part of proactive action initiated by Anantnag police against the drug peddlers. Officers have seized 72 bottles of codeine from drug peddlers namely Showkat Ahmad son of Mohamamd Yousuf resident of Tulkhan Bijbehara, Showkat Ahmad son of Wali Mohd resident of Tulkhan Bijbehara and Mohammad Yousuf son of Soimoh Tral. A case FIR No. 15/2019 under relevant sections of law has been registered in Police Station Bijbehara. Community members are requested to come forward with any information regarding drug peddlers in their neighbourhood. Persons found indulging in drug peddling will be dealt as per law.
