Minor boy injured in Budgam clashes shifted to SKIMS | KNO

He is stable, under observation, say officials

Srinagar, February 27 (KNO) : A six-year-old boy who had sustained grievous wounds during Budgam clashes has been shifted to SKIMS Soura institute for specialized treatment. Report reaching KNO that six year old boy Numaan Ahmad Dar son of Mohammad Altaf Dar a resident of Wairdan area of the district got injured when he was hit by a teargas shell during the clashes that erupted near the site where IAF chopper crashed. Eyewitnesses told KNO that soon after government forces reached the spot where IAF chopper crashed, few youth pelted stones upon them after which clashes erupted in the area. As few people tried to disturb the operation, government forces in retaliatory action fired a few teargas shells and few gunshots in air. One among the shells which was fired to disperse the crowd hit a boy who got seriously wounded. He was rushed to a local hospital where from he was shifted to SKIMS. Officials at SKIMS told KNO that his condition is said to be stable and is under observation. Earlier, an IAF chopper crashed in Budgam this afternoon and left six IAF men and a civilian dead in Garend village.(KNO)
