JAMMU & KASHMIR Gunfight rages in Kupwara | KNO REPRESENTATION PHOTO Published 268 weeks ago on March 01, 2019 By KashmirNewsObserver Kupwara, March 01 (KNO) : Gunfight rages between government force and militants in Kupwara village Reports reaching KNO that joint forces of Army, SoG and CRPF this evening launched cordon and search operation in the area after inputs of presence of militants. The forces had installed lights so as to prevent the escape of militants owing to darkness, they said. As the forces intensified the searches, militants hiding in the area opened fire at around 1:00 am, leading to a gunfight which was going on when this report was filed, they said. The army has already rushed more reinforcements in the area, they said.
