Three injured as Indo-Pak armies trade gunfire along LOC in Nowshehra sector | KNO

Jammu, March 02 (KNO) : Three persons including a woman and a girl sustained injuries after India and Pakistan armies traded gunfire along Line of Control in Nowshehra Sector of District Rajouri in Jammu division of the state on Saturday. Officials told KNO that at about 1230 hours Pakistan initiated Unprovoked Cease Fire Violation by shelling with mortars & firing of small arms along LoC in Nowshera Sector, District Rajouri (J&K). "Indian Army is retaliating strongly and effectively," the officials told KNO, adding that three persons have sustained injuries during the shelling. The three injured persons were identified as Azad Ahmed, 20, son of Mohd Shabir of Ghani village in Mankote Mendhar Tehsil, Zahida Khatoon, 15, daughter Muhammad Shabir of village Ghani Tehsil Mankote Mendhar and Zarina, 45, wife of Mohd Shabir of Ghani village of Tehsil Mankote Mendhar. Dr Parvaiz Ahmed Khan Block Medical Officer (BMO) Mendhar said all injured are under treatment at government sub district hospital Mendhar and are stable. He said that one among the injured Azad Ahmad would be referred to District Hospital Rajouri in case his condition will not improve.(KNO)
