Srinagar, March 06 (KNO) : Tehreek-e-Hurriyat Chairman, Mohammad Ashraf Sehrai Wednesday paid tributes to slain militants of Reshi Mohalla Tral and Babagund Handwara and expressed deep pain over the damage of residential properties and prayed for the forbearance and patience of the grieved families. Sehrai in a statement issued to KNO, said, “The unresolved Kashmir conflict has been a greatest tragedy humanity ever witnessed. New Delhi is entirely responsible for pushing Kashmir youth, to the wall and continues to ignore the basic reality and ground situation.” He said people of entire J&K yearn for a final solution of the Kashmir issue to put an end to uncertainty of which they are the worst victims. “Lingering Kashmir issue is the root cause of immense sufferings of people that include death, destruction and also growing uncertainity in sub-continent,” he said. “The resolution of the issue can always be reached at provided there is a willingness to accept the facts in its historical perspective, humanity and mutual respect among the parties involved while addressing the problem,” he said. Sehrai praised extraordinary courage and resilience of Kashmiri people in the face of ‘Indian brutalities and systematic violations of their human rights’. Despite India’s continuous atrocities on the civilians of the valley, they could not silence the Kashmiris, he said, adding that “our rightful peaceful struggle for independence could not be called terrorism.”(KNO)
