Srinagar, March 07 (KNO): Reacting over the statement of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Subramaniam Swamy, Grand Mufti of Jammu and Kashmir, Mufti Nasir-ul-Islam Thursday said that India’s genesis to secure to all its citizens has turned to be a 'mockery' as far as Muslims of India are concerned. "India’s genesis to secure to all its citizens regarding justice, social, economic and political liberty of thought, expression, belief, faith and worship and equality of status has, of late, been reduced to a mockery as far as Muslims of India are concerned," Mufti Azam said in a statement issued to KNO. He said the last nail for achieving the sinistrous goal of communal discord and hatred by those in the corridors of power in the South and North block in Delhi, is the 'ridiculous statement' of one of its top patrons, Subramaniam Swamy, who has dared to "reclaim Kaaba as a shivling- a shame on him and all those holdings him in their lap and a vivid proof of his sheer madness." "This ugly and stinking utterance surely is a criminal conspiracy hatched by him and his masters, with an underlying design to outrage the religious feelings of Muslim Ummah and thus insult the religion of Islam and Religious Beliefs of Muslims," he added. Grand Mufti of Jammu and Kashmir further stated that this statement also carries with it a hidden threat to use criminal force to accomplish the aimed goal. "Complete silence by those sitting in the echelons of power on this highly condemnable act of Swamy, speaks volumes of their share in it," he added. In the given situation, Muslims all over the world, particularly in India, must without any delay respond and react to call and put the their heads together to safeguard the sacred and holiest place of Kaaba, he said, asking that "Should it call for tightening of be lefts, lets us all be ready, as an Ummah."(KNO)
